January, 2014 Newsletter
Happy New Year to our Happy Days Family! I hope everyone enjoyed the wonderful holiday season!
Happy Days welcomes Grace ad Naqiyah! In December we celebrated Scarlett and Ben’s birthdays. Carly, Caleb, and Christian were Miss Laura’s Star Students and made beautiful presentations!
All month we were preparing for winter holiday fun. We had themes of reindeer, gingerbread men, and the holidays; all of which were enhanced with literacy, science, social studies, and math components. We culminated our month with a winter magic show on December 16th (which the kids just loved!) and PJ days as we watched “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” and “The Polar Express” and sipped on hot chocolate. Our full day students rotated between afternoon weeks of math, language, social studies, and science, with literacy activities mixed in everyday. In January, our themes of study will be snow, polar animals, mittens, and the five senses. Each week there will be a new letter of the week based on our theme.
If anyone has not yet had a parent/teacher conference and would like to schedule one in January, please let us know. There is a Friday Night Babysitting on January 17th. Please let us know by the end of this week if you are interested. A hygienist from a pediatric dental practice will be coming to give our kids a lesson on oral hygiene. We will be having a puppet show in February!
January tuition is now due. Registrations for Summer Camp and Fall, 2014 Preschool will be coming home at the end of the month. If you register by April 1st, you will receive 2013-2014 rates.
And finally, just a reminder to check every so often on our website, www.happydayspreschoolnj.com, for pictures of your kids in action!
