February, 2018 Newsletter

In January we celebrated Brianna, Val, Carter, and Alexis’s birthdays.  Finn, Vincent, Madison, Madelyn, and Zoe were Miss Laura’s Star Students and made beautiful presentations!  Our themes were New Years, Polar Animals, Mittens, Dinosaurs, and Snowmen; all of which were enhanced with literacy, science, social studies, and math components. In the afternoons we focused on Winter Sports, Hot Chocolate, Martin Luther King, the Winter, and S is for Snow. The Lizard Guys came with snakes, lizards, frogs, and turtles. We all enjoyed learning about and getting to touch them. Meridian Health was also in to teach us about healthy eating choices.

In February, our themes of study will be Hearts, Valentine’s Day, Presidents, and Chocolate and Cherries.  In the afternoons they will be Shadows (science), V is for Valentines (literacy), Money (math), and the Post Office (social studies).

February 14th and 15th are our Valentines celebrations. Our winter/spring fundraisers will be coming home on the 20th.
