Happy New Year to all!

In December we celebrated Hope, Aiden, Campbell, Kaitlyn, Chloe, Albi, Savannah R. Savannah W., Quinn, Wyatt, and Emme’s birthdays! Helen, Liam G., and RJ were Miss Laura’s Star Students and made beautiful presentations. Our teachers conducted parent/teacher conferences and report cards were sent home. If anyone was not able to attend a conference and would like one, please let us know. Meridian Health was here on the 7th with a program about respecting each other. Our Pajama Days were a lot of fun, and our big highlight this month was Elsa and Anna presenting Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Show!

Our December themes of study were Candy Canes (Cookies in pm), Santa and Elves (Reindeer in pm), and the Winter Holidays (Gingerbread Men in pm), all of which were enhanced with literacy, science, social studies, and math components. Our full day students rotate between full afternoon weeks of math, language, social studies, and science, with literacy activities mixed in every day. In January, our themes will be the New Year, Polar Animals, Mittens, Dinosaurs, and Snowmen. Each week we will continue to introduce a new letter of the week based on the theme. January afternoons will focus on Winter Sports (Social Studies), Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows (Math), Martin Luther King Jr. (Social Studies), Winter (Science), and S is for Snow (Literacy).

Thanks to your fundraiser efforts, Librarian Dorothy will be here from the Ocean County Library on Tuesday, January 9th to read us stories about polar animals, Meridian Health will be coming on the 11th to make a presentation on healthy choices we can make, and the Lizard Guys will be here to show us all kinds of amazing reptiles on January 24th!

January tuition and Jan./Feb. pizza orders are now due!  Registrations for Summer Camp and Fall, 2018 Preschool will be coming home in the beginning of February. If you register by March 29th, you will receive the 2017-2018 rates. And don’t forget to check us out in action on Facebook!
